Melissa Rollison (born 13 April 1983 in Adelaide) is an Australian professional triathlete and former middle distance runner, who specialised in steeplechase. She is the 2011 Ironman 70.3 World Champion.
Early in Rollison's career she won a gold medal in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2001 Goodwill Games. At the 2006 Commonwealth Games, competing in the Steeplechase, she gave world champion Dorcus Inzikuru a run for her money before settling for the silver medal. This run increased her profile on the world stage. A week after the Commonwealth Games, she helped Australia to a team bronze medal in the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.
After a series of injuries, Rollison switched to triathlon.[1] At the 2010 Asia-Pacific Ironman 70.3 Championships, she took second place.
